My First Teaching Position

I will be forever indebted to Charles for giving me my first job out of college.  I still remember clearly my job interview. Vice principal Larry Fitzcharles finished interviewing me and passed me over to Charles in his office...such a tall man lounging behind his desk. We had a great interview and I discovered his mother graduated from Smith College, my alma mater. I was hired and worked for Charles for 10 years at the Middle School. He was a great man and administrator, always approachable and beloved by staff and students. I am so glad the Middle School is named for him and will be his lifelong legacy in our Unionville community.
