I had the privilege of teaching with Charles Patton "way back" in the late 60's and early 70's at Unionville Elementary School. My husband,Roger, taught with him at the Middle School for 25+ years. Charles was straightforward with his teachers, but always supportive and caring. A man of stature and enthusiasm, he led by example and created a positive environment for students and staff. And there's no doubt that he understood and loved his students. He probably knew every one by name! I admired the fact that, even when principal, he taught a class (usually Algebra) just to keep in touch with the kids I'm grateful that both of our kids attended PMS, as well.
